An exhibition of work by 3rd year BA Drawing students from Camberwell College of Art.
Coming to the end of their Degree course, this exhibition was approached by the students as a Dress Rehearsal for their Degree show, giving them the opportunity to experiment with idea's, compositions and materials with the view of informing their final pieces.

The Builders - Education Project

run by Reuben Powell with Victory Primary school. 

Pupils from Yrs 5 & 6 where invited to Reuben's studio to paint large colour portraits of some of the builders from the 

construction site next to their school.

Their work is being exhibited on the hoardings around the construction site.

Interim Exhibition

We where please to host the interim exhibition for these talent students from London College of Communication. 

The private view was very well attended and was visited the following day by more enthusiastic art lovers! 

The print shop section of the exhibition was well received, with visitors able to buy handmade prints and gift items. 

We wish the students the best of luck with their upcoming degree show!    

Private View | Wednesday 12th March | Nice To See You |

London College of Communication is pleased to present the interim show of work produced by third year Illustration and Visual Media Students, as they approach the culmination of their degree. The exhibition shall be held at Hotel Elephant, with a private view on Wednesday 12th March, 2014 from 6-9, and is open to the public from 10-6 on Thursday 13th March.

‘Nice to See You’ is a reflection of the diversity and scope of the course members, who have each responded to the nature of the degree program by questioning the notion of visual communication. The show provides an insight into the enthusiasm and anticipation behind the creative practices of a multidisciplinary group, consisting of designers, illustrators, photographers, film makers and model makers as they approach their graduation in June.

The private view will include a print shop, live music, drinks, live drawing sessions, and is guaranteed to be an exciting evening.

January' 14 @ Hotel Elephant

SLAM Last Friday, SAF Student Meet Up and AN Interview. 

Our shop front gallery space will be opening late this Friday 31st Jan. for SLAM Last Friday's 6 - 9pm.

We will also be hosting the Southwark Arts Forum student meet up at 6pm that evening. Students have been invited to meet the SAF team and their student ambassadors.

Opening

Our new shop front gallery space on Newington Causeway, opened on quite a rainy Friday before Xmas. With approximately 70 people turning out to browse a collection of works made by local Artists and Designer - Makers, we where very pleased with the response!

Since opening with have had a steady stream of people discovering the shop and quite a few walking away with locally created works to display proudly at home!

We have also found that, along with gaining new audience members daily, we are also re-discovering those who used to visit us when we where located across the road, at the now Southwark Playhouse building. 

We are very pleased with our high street location and to back on Newington Causeway! We would like to extended a warm welcome to all visitors new and old, we look forward to seeing you in the shop in the coming months.
